  1. Hey guys, My wife, myself and 2 children applied for a 189 occupation fitter general. Here is our timeline Submitted EOI 18/07 Invited 06/09 Lodged with all documents except form 80 on 11/10 Visa was granted today 28/11 This has taken us completely by surprise as was not expecting a quick turnaround.
  2. Has anybody completed the technical interview for fitter(general) recently, I have mine within the next couple of weeks and not really sure what to expect. Any info from someone who has done it would be great. TIA Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I have to agree with chasing the dream, do loads of mock tests so you are familiar with the format. I missed out by 0.5 of a point in my writing. My scores were listening 8.5 reading 9 writing 7.5 speaking 8.5. I didn't start revising until the week before, probably could of done with a bit more. Do a google search for ieltsliz, she covers a lot of information on her website and in her YouTube videos. I've re booked for the 24th June fingers crossed. Hope you get the results you need. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Congrats on your results. I did not quite make the cut.I got 8.5 overall, but my writing was 7.5. Going to rebook tonight and try again. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. I had my test investigated from the 13/5/17. The results were posted online today, hope yours were too. Good luck with the results Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  6. I think it will be around £1600 by the time I have finished, unless I need to do a practical assessment as well, which will be a further £750 ish. Most of the cost if for the actual skills assessment and not DUC fees. The documents were all certificates, references, proof of experience like bank statements and wage slips. Copy of passport and 2 x photos. I think that is it. It's worth giving down under centre a call, they are really helpful. Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
  7. Hi I'm going through same process as you at the moment. I have up to a HNC in mechanical engineering as well as an apprenticeship. I'm applying as a fitter general. I'm being assessed by TRA through the down under centre. Im not sure about the engineers Australia part. Sent from my iPhone using PomsinOz
