Hi Aussian - we've been in Melbourne (regional) for 9 years now but only 'new' to this site. Always good to connect with other migrants here and share stories and the things we enjoy about living in this 'lucky land'. We're now Citizens (2 years in) and although we were later life arrivees we've been very welcomed by folk here. We love the laid back life style and can't imagine at this time moving back to Blighty. Great to meet other folk loving their lives in Australia!

Hey Tom and Fi - new also to the forum (only a few days on). Also in Melbourne but not in the city - been in Oz for 9 years now (so not new here) and loving it. Hope you both settle into life here quickly

Hi Tom - my husband and I currently live in Victoria and have been here just over 9 years in regional Victoria (Bendigo) - we love it. Around our area and across there are many vineyards so it's worth thinking about - if you want to stay in Victoria exploring local wineries and when they need pickers/packers? Our daughter is coming out mid-2017 on a WHV like you and we've started talking to our local contacts about possible on the land work for 3 months for her and there seems to be a fair amount. Not Melbourne but about 1.5 hours away .... Just a thought!

Been in Oz for 9 years now...moved from Nottingham so would love to 'connect' with others from the Bendigo area where we live or who were originally from Nottingham.
