Hi All, I believe entry date coincides with the date of your medical/ police check/ documents that can expire within 12 months. My wifes police check was issued on the 4th March 2016 (we applied for this before lodging application), and her entry date to Australia had to be before 4th March 2017. I believe this is because the police check is only valid for 12 months. As is the medical. Hope this helps.

Alice Springs. I wanted to fly via Darwin but that requires me to get a transit visa in Singapore as I would have to change to Jetstar Airline. How long does it take to get a Singapore transit visa?

@dada555 Cargo is the cheapest. Definitely NOT by excess luggage on a plane. If you have A LOT of stuff, you can get your own container for about $6000 AUD, if you plan on bringing furniture etc. Also, can you confirm if you did anything different in recent weeks in relations to your application. Special emails? Complaints? Phone calls? Any help will assist. I got the same response as ZD87 calling that number. They have limited access to information and unfortunately, I think they lied about leaving a request to get it done... I then called AHC Isl. again and they informed that they are waiting on the final departmental checks. Does anyone know what this means? Is that police checks etc? If no one knows, maybe it is a question for someone to ask.

Option 1 - VISA, CITIZENSHIP ENQUIRIES 1 - Travelling into or out of Australia 2 - Aust citizenship 3 - Cargo 4 - Work rights and interpreting services 5 - Passport Services Option 2 - SUSPICIOUS ACTIVITIES Option 3 - Complement/ Complaint Did you husband make a complaint or go through option 1? If option 1, what was his second selection? Thanks, any help is appreciated.

Hey Ssyed I have the same DOL as you and same DOI. My wife's visa has also not arrived! It's so frustrating. It's real hard for my wife. Someone suggested that there is a limit on the amount of spouse VISAs that can be issued each year. Maybe this could be a reason why none have been issued recently. Anyways good luck everyone. Ssyed here's hoping ours comes at the same time

Thanks Pakgirl. Also, are you aware on the regulations of bringing jewellery into Australia? My wife has quite a bit of jewellery and I don't want to have to pay duty on it when she comes over with it. And I'm not one to try and hide it and not declare it. Because I ALWAYS get checked! :arghh: Thanks

Been a silent reader. DOL = 14 March 2016 Medical and Bimetrics done within 1 week after lodgement. Additional Documents requested 28 March 2016. Submitted extra documents 4 April 2016. DOI = 04 October 2016. Very basic questions about our communication while she is over there and I am here (Facetime every night and whatsapp during day). Asked me about my trip there in April and May and about my future trip there in 3 weeks. Did request contact number for landline number for my wife's home. They don't have a landline so gave mobile of her sister. DOG = TBA I am an Australian Citizen and sponsor of my wife who is in Pakistan. After my interview, approve status appeared next to name. Question: I as the sponsor have been interviewed. What about my wife. Is it expected that she is also interviewed? What about witnesses who provided stat decs?
