  1. Help please ... Original 651 application lodged 7th Nov 2016. Further information requested from case officer on 14th November 2016, information provided (attached to email as unable to attach in immi account) and returned to case officer 15th November 2016, I have re-sent this information several times and also requested updates via the webform in immi and also by email but as of today 23rd Jan 2017 I have not received ANY correspondance, confirmation, update from the department of immigration. Why so long to reply ? Footnote: Between Apr 2015 and Sep 2016 I have already spent 456 days in Australia as a tourist, however I am a "genuine tourist", I am semi retired, ex HM Armed Forces in receipt of a pension for life. I travel a lot and work when I want/need to, I have provided evidence of this along with all other "further information" requested by my case officer. Thank you in advance for any clues, guidance, help, advice. JH
  2. ...but I am a genuine tourist ! I am semi retired, ex HM Armed Forces, living on a monthly pension for life and I have a blemish free character, I travel a lot and work when I want/need to. They requested "further information" and I provided it immediately (confirmation of my itinerary, proof of income etc) but I have not received any feedback/progress/request for information, nothing, zero correspondence from them since 14th Nov 2016 ... I am baffled !

  4. I have already spent 456 days in Australia between April 2015 and Sept 2016. I have already recently been refused a 600/12 month visa for this reason, however I now want to visit Tasmania which I've seen very little of. Many thanks for your reply
  5. I can see a lot of similarities with our situation! A very frustrating state of affairs indeed ! I've taken some encouragement from the "28 days" comments and hope to hear something soon. Best of luck to you.
  6. Many thanks for your reply. Apologies, I meant to say case officer.
  7. Many thanks for your reply . I was instructed by my case agent to reply within 7 days. Which I did but still as of today I have heard nothing. I spoke to the uk office today and was told "maybe Hobart haven't received the further information I sent on 15th Nov 16 and maybe it wiuld be a good idea to send it again" I have also tried to enquire through several emails and also enquires using the web form in immi account but still no reply or acknowledgement . I am concerned and puzzled at the lack of contact/information I am receiving.
  8. Hello all, evisitor 651 applied for on 7th Nov 16. Further information requested 14th Nov 16. Further information provided by email 15th Nov 16. As of today 30th Nov 16 no confirmation/reply/update received from Au immigration. Has anyone got any idess why this is taking so long to finalise ? Thank you.
  9. Hello, I was recently refused a 600 visa, the reason given was that I had already spent 456 days in Australia on previous visas and in their opinion this time period is more than sufficient for a tourist. My question is can I still now apply/get a 3 month evisa ? as I would like to now return to Tasmania to collect some important, personal items and to say some proper goodbyes to friends and loved ones. I still have a valid ticket for the 30th Oct 2016 to return to Australia as I was planning to apply for a De Facto/Partner visa on my return to Tasmania. I'm just wondering if it is worthwhile applying for this short term visa ? I can not see any "no further entry to Australia" notice on my refusal notice from Australian immigration. Many thanks in advance for any replies. JAH
  10. Many thanks for your replies ... yes, 456 days in Australia is a long time but it's a huge, beautiful country and Iv'e only seen a fraction of it ! I was genuinely NOT trying to "blag" residency ! I am/we are planning to go for the De Facto partner visa as I was planning to do this anyway when I got back to Tasmania. All the best to you all on here and good luck to all who like me are trying to be a Pom In Oz (although I'm a Welshman and not a Pom)
  11. They say as I have already spent 456 days in Australia on a 3 month and then 12 month visa as I have already spent enough time there as a tourist, Australia is a magnificent and huge country so I haven't seen nearly all of it ! They say I can not use the 600 for "pseudo residency" ! I didnt notice a ban on further applications, I will check.
  12. I have just had my 600 visitor visa application refused. My question is can I now apply for a 3 month visitor visa. I am planning to eventualy go for the de facto partner visa but think it would be easier to do this with my partner whilst we're together in Australia. Thanks in advance for any advice.
