I am jumping onto this post a bit late in the day but am I correct that if you leave the employer before the 24 months are up the 187 will be cancelled by immigration?

I'll be there in 3 weeks time (My wife is following on in a few months). Mid 40's and would be keen to meet up too if there's a social going in. Will be in Mooloolaba initially.

Hi Tracy. I applied through Queensland health too. Just set up for email alerts on the site, I received emails about jobs most days. I am a clinical nurse specialist so was applying for a role identical to the one I have in the UK. I cannot emphasise enough how important it is to phone or email the contact on the job advert as I believe vacancies have lots of applicants. Good luck job hunting

Hi Fanya, I fly on March 31st and start at Nambour Hospital April 10th. I've just found out that I will be working at the new site 2 days a week and from time to time heading up to Gympie hospital too. I will look up the facebook site tonight

Hi all, I hope to be in the Sunshine Coast in Feb/March. I am an RN and have a job offer at Nambour My question is regarding employment for my wife. What is the job market like there? Is unemployment high? or is a commute to Brisbane more realistic? My wife is in pharma sales but is prepared to be flexible as the thought of having Queensland as her territory is I believe filling her with dread! Regards Steven
