  1. Thanks for your reply. We have done an assessment online and know that my husband would have enough points for either the 189 or 190 visa. We also know that all the things listed in the previous post are reqired we are just uncertain of the order in which they should be done? We thought this section was for people seeking advice from registered migration agents?
  2. Hi to migration agents! My husband and myself wish to make the move to Oz and are currently finding starting the whole process rather confusing! My husband is a plumber and we wish to use his job as our route in on a PR visa. We thought it was going to be the 189 but now not sure if it should be the 190??? Not too sure of the real differences between the two? Also in what order do we need to do things? Things such as Skills Assessment, English tests, Medicals, police checks, expression of interest? We have looked at the Skills asssessment with Vetassess and see 2 stages. Must both stages be completed in all cases (do all plumbers have to complete practical demonstration even if they have required certificates etc). All feels very overwhelming all the moment, really need some help and it would be very appreciated! Thank you.
  3. Hi to anyone who can help???? Please!!! :chatterbox: My husband and i are at the very early stages of all this and aready confusssed! He is a plumber and about to do the skills asssessment which we now understand is the 1st thing he must do, hope this is right to start?? On the Vetassess website we have seen there are 2 stages. Stage 1 been the online application costing $635. Then stage 2 which is a practical demonstration $1580!!!!! Our question is do all plumbers need to complete practical demonstration (stage2) or can sufficient qualification etc be enough? Thank you.
  4. Hi My husband is in a very similar situation. We are wishing to make the move to Perth. He is both qualified in Plumbing and Gas and knows that his qualifications must be converted in order to get a job, but the question is can this be done before we leave the UK? If so how does the cost compare to waiting until we reach Perth, as I have read somewhere that waiting until you are in Oz is cheaper? Also if he does wait until we get to Perth, how long does it take? As he will wish to work A.S.A.P! Any help or advice will be very appreciated! Thanks!
