Hello, I've just lodged an EOI for NSW 190 points 60 + 5 with superior English via IELTS. Anyone know how long the wait is at the moment? Category is 263111 Computer Network & Systems Engineer. Thanks

unfortunately the wait continues for me....my occupation was put under pro rata arrangements just after I submitted my EOI and with only 60 points I'm not even sure now if I will ever receive an invite as cut off remains at 65.... Good luck to you all with your journeys!

Hello, I have a positive skills assessment with ACS 28th July 2016 (Computer Network and Systems Engineer 263111) and lodged an EOI 29th July 2016 (60 points) I'm about to start a new job in February 2017 - what do I do with my EOI as I don't want the new employer to know about my plans for Oz as with 60 points it might not happen with the current situation for this category... 1) Do I need to add this new job? 2) Do I need to get another skills assessment? Hello, Just wondered if anyone from a non pro rata category got invited today? I see the pro rata categories have been invited....wonder when other categories will be?

Thanks Bungo, So am I right in saying, once you get the invite, you 'apply' and will be given the TRN number required to then book your medical? Or do you wait for someone to actually tell you to book one? Thanks

Hello all, Just looking for some advice on the best next steps after an invitation to apply. I've been reading various posts and just wanted some clarification on what to do after an invitation is received... When an invitation is received, is it best to then create the immi account via this page BEFORE appying for the visa. https://www.border.gov.au/Trav/Visa/Heal/meeting-the-health-requirement/health-examinations/my-health-declarations So as to be able to book and complete medicals. Also, doing police check and other docs, then when everything is complete go on to apply for visa. Or, apply for visa and upload what forms I have done already ie form 80/1221 and then just upload medicals and police check when they come through? Hope this makes sense! Thanks in advance!

I have 60 points and the cut off for business/systems analyst stands at 70 and has done for some time. Massive backlog of 65 pointers and pro rata invites....so thinking of going down a different route as other cat isn't pro rata and cut off is 60 at the moment!

Hi all, I already have a positive skills assessment for Business Analyst but am looking to get a my skills assessed as a computer network and systems engineer..My roles have been very varied and I believe I meet the criteria. My question is, I will need to add to some info to the original duties listed on the job references, so I go to more detail about this side of my job. Is it ok to do this? I am concerned that ACS will wonder why this level of detail wasn't originally mentioned? Has anyone done this before and is this possible? Many thanks in advance

Hello, My previous successful application was done via RPL so I have had to amend the project section and talk about two new projects relevant to the new category, is this correct? Also, with the employer references, the original job duties are the same but I have had to add examples of work relevant to this new category. Is it acceptable to add info to an old work reference? I am concerned they will have an issue with this not being originally mentioned in as much detail? Any advice would be appreciated! Thank you

I'm presuming I need to lodge a completely new skills assessment and just make ACS aware of my previous assessment? 2. Hi, I have recently received a positive skills assessment from ACS as a Business Analyst. However, I only have 60 points and with the threshold being at 70, realistically, my chances of receiving an invite are very slim at the moment. My job role is very varied and there is a lot of overlap with another category 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer, which I could have applied under but didn't, for whatever reason. My questions are; 1. Am I allowed to submit another skills assessment under 263111 - Computer Network and Systems Engineer? 2. If successful, Can I have 2 EOI's running for each category? Many thanks
