  1. Hi Snifter, I don't suppose you know the cost of MoveCubes do you?
  2. Hi everyone, Any advice or experience on the following would be very much appreciated. We have already contacted telecoms companies and the cable registration people in Oz for advice, but would really like to hear from anyone who has entered Australia in a similar situation and what steps they have had to take to transfer the job from one country to the other. We are just starting to apply for a subclass 190 visa to the state of Victoria on my wife's job as a teacher. In the UK, I am a Telecommunications Engineer. My job role and duties seem to suggest that I am a Telecommunications Technical Officer/Technologist and/ or Telecommunications Network Planner in Australia. I have 12 years experience in this field and have attended many different 'on the job' training courses. The issue is that my degree and other qualifications are not in telecommunications. This is why we are having to apply for a visa on my wife's job rather than mine because her qualifications match her job and experience. All being well, we will be moving to Victoria with our two young children (3 and 6) as soon as we can. To be financially secure, I would like to ensure that I am employed straight away. I already know that I will need to do a cabling registration course when I arrive followed by 360 hours of cabling experience - frustrating because I must have tens of thousands of hours experience in the UK but it needs to be done on Australian soil to be registered. Other than this, is there anything else I can be doing right now to ensure I have a very good chance of securing employment straight away? Courses etc.? Or will employers be happy enough with my experience and cable registration? Many thanks
