Hello all, We just arrived 6 weeks ago and are looking to buy a cheap car to get us by over the next 6 months or so. Ive seen a Subaru Forester, but I'd has no service history. Going to look at it tomorrow. It's old and cheap, so probably not even worth getting an RACQ Inspection carried out on it, What are people's views of buying a car with no service history? Hello all, We landed in Brisbane 2 weeks ago and have just secured a rental starting in the new year. I'm looking to get broadband set up for 7th January. From my research, there appears to be a wide range of providers, offering varying speeds with prices ranging from around $50 to $100. I had virgin cable in the uk and I'll be looking to stream movies/Netflix etc. Does anyone in the Brisbane area have any recommedations for a reasonable priced, yet reliable service broadband provider/package? Hello, An odd question, but I've just found out that my dart board is made from Kenyan sisal, so not sure if this will be allowed through. Anyone else had any problems bringing a Winmau sisal dartboard into Australia? Many thanks... Bob

We are booking a 20 foot container with PSS. Planning on taking all our household effects. We are now looking at insuring and are being asked to assign values to our belongings, but are unsure on how to go about this... We were planning on insuring the most valuable items individually eg, furniture, electricals, and then assigning a lump sum to various grouped items eg. clothing, books, ornaments, crockery, bedding etc. What we don't understand is if an item within the grouped items is damaged, do they only pay out the value we assigned divided by the number of items we listed in that group (even if that single item was the most valuable item in the group)? And, if we haven't valued everything in our shipment, and they therefore deem our shipment to be undervalued, are we at risk when making a claim. Any advice on how others insured their items for shipping would be much appreciated...
