  1. yes guys, hang on tight! they are moving faster! We got PR after a week-ish since they started with april's applications
  2. Hi All, This is finally our moment! Our PR has been granted yesterday 7/11/2016. I just found it out now, I checked the immi account like every morning but this time the status was FINALISED! I was almost closing the windows and then my eyes went to the corner of the screen....what what??? Finalised??? :chatterbox: We haven't heard from our MA so far, maybe she is busy. Well, I don't mind. I double checked on VEVO and we are PR! I downloaded and printed the grant letter out. We'll keep it as our precioussss!! :jiggy: Our timeline: Primary Teacher 2people LR Nom&Visa 20/04/2016 Both approved 7/11/2016 201 days of waiting game (received to finalised with no assessment in progress or other status in between) No further documents requested (form 80 was provided beforehand anyway, so I'm not sure if they cecked it). Next step in 12 months...citizenship! Thank you all, this forum has been a great travel buddy! Good luck to everyone, especially to the September guys. You've been such an inspiration. You deserve it guys, you certainly deserve it.
  3. Are they speeding up!? [emoji15] We applied on the 20th. Oh gosh....it seems so clooose!
  4. hey guys, I've updated april's spreadsheet with aliwal grant. I've also tidied it up a bit. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1INy6sxuUIisgLOT7CcskWLjQjHV_6yVvUBRHceWE_a0/edit#gid=1244798606 have a look and add your details!
  5. It's not on the check list if memory serves me right. But private medical cover is a requirement for the 457 to be approved and held. So I think CO will automatically check the private insurance status.
  6. Unless you let your MA know or you delete/modify some attached file by mistake, he/she shouldn't be able to verify that you are tracking your visa status.
  7. If you know that previous 186 nominations have been approved to your employer, then you should be fine even if you lodge Nom&Visa at the same time. On the other hand if your employer's company is small and he/she has never given 457 before yours, then you may want to wait for the 186 nomination to be approved and lodge your visa afterwards.

  9. Actually, a friend of mine (who is deciding if to apply for a 189/190 or go through the 457) was told by her MA that the 186 waiting time is now around 7/9 months. So yes, your 8+ is quite realistic. That's why I'm saying that I would consider myself lucky to get good news by the end of the year. I'm preparing myself to enter 2017 without grant letter, though. In 10 days we'll reach the 6months mark. Let's see how it goes Nom&Visa 20Apr16
  10. You're an optimist! We have applied both nom and visa last 20 Apr. We would be more than happy to have good news by Christmas!
  11. Let's hope for some good news around Xmas time! That would be the best present ever! Nom&Visa Apr2016
  12. That means we'll need to wait at least another 3 months. Oh gosh! 157 days already gone. I wonder if we'll have good news before Christmas!
  13. Sorry for asking, but I don't understand why the code should be different. The code needs to be present on the csol list for the 457 to be approved, consequently it will be the same for the 186, as the permanent visa will be granted through a "transition scheme". Why would you list another code on the 186 application?
