  1. Who would have thought that this question would get so many answers !! I have been to oz twice, but only as a tourist, but I much preferred Perth to Melbourne. Perth was sunny, accessible, friendly. Melbourne was massive, wet, and a pain to get around. On this site though it does seem to get bashed up and many peoples answers and conclusions revolve around the recent boom and money and not the geography or people. Like Ali says, a lot of people that bash it on this site prob have not been there.
  2. Thankyou for your replies chaps
  3. I also have an Uncle, Aunt and cousins in Melbourne too, they must think im really rude by not going there first !!! but......I want to go somewhere and stay there.
  4. Thankyou everybody for your replies I love studying the geography and coastline of oz and even though I have been twice, I simply cannot get over the sheer size of the place. I kind of know WA but know nothing about or ever been to NSW so thankyou guys, and ill enjoy researching the places mentioned. You do notice the difference in property price between WA (bunbury not perth) and NSW though and for a working class guy, who is only on the first rung of the property ladder in the UK that means everything.
  5. Sorry Where would be your second choice ? I know a lot about Wa but not NSW
  6. Hi So its always been WA WA WA WA and now people keep saying new south wales If you were a builder Didn't have stacks of cash.. but some Didn't want a Queensland climate and wanted to be quite close to the beach Where would you think of going ? I have no idea about New South Wales, apart from, Sydney is double expensive. Thankyou
  7. Hi people of Bunbury How is it Down there ? What made you move there ? Is anybody thinking mmmmm....what have we done ? Are they building.....buildings ? Cant afford a Perth house and Bunbury sounds like the next best option it just sound s and looks.....local, you know...nice  Its either there or some where south in New South Wales but all my research and visits have been on W.A
  8. Im looking at this website every other day at the minute and... yes your right, a lot of the doom mongers etc do seem to not like perth. I have only been to oz as a tourist but I much preferred Perth to Melbourne hands down. I would love to move to Bunbury but according to most here, because Im a Working class bricklayer, and want a better life for family (tut tut ) If I moved to W.A I would have no work/no chance of buying a house/ would be bored and would be wasting my time
  9. Hi Guys Just a bit of fun, but to everybody who has made the move, can you name 1 Thing you wish you took to Oz 1 Thing you re so glad you took 1 Thing you wish you took more of (Children dont count for the first one )
