  1. Hi I am just after a bit of advice about what to expect next. We lodged Aug and had a request for extra info Oct (form 80 & form 47a for our 18yr old & form 1229 for other children which we resent). 02 Feb 2017, we have been asked for extra contact details for my ex husband so they can contact him regarding the consent. It states that they have been unable to contact him. I sent this information 5th Feb and my ex states that noone had contacted him or tried to. We have resent the information and it has now been over the 28 days. My question is, how many times will they continue to contact him and what would happen if they are unsuccessful. Our police checks and medicals run out at the beginning of September so naturally my thoughts are heading to us running out of time to activate visa. Any advice will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks
  2. Thank you. I'm sure if they call him it will confirm what he has signed unless he's in a grump
  3. hi we have lodged including police and medicals but have had a request for extra info. Non related to hubby or his points/experience but relates to the children. The under 18's have asked for proof of custod and signed ID from biological father. I had already uploaded form 1229 and signed certified passport so have re sent them again but in separate documents. My question is how do I prove custody when non was granted. He left, they resided with me and he sees them. Nothing official. I have emailed back stating that there is no order and hopefully the form is enough. Can you think of any other way I can prove this? thanks
  4. hi I was just wondering what the outcome of this was due a similar request being made to me.
  5. we submitted 26th Aug and have heard NOTHING!! :-( have booked medicals in 3 weeks and police checks done so waiting for them. We are not using an agent and it just says 'received' on the immi site.
  6. Hi Sorry if this has been asked a million times but I just want to make sure its right for my own circumstances. Birth certificates (Ordered full ones due to children) - Colour Marriage certificates (Yes 2) - Colour Decree absolute - B/W P60's some colour and some black and white copies emailed HMRC tax & pay information - B/W Employer Reference - Colour I understand that anything colour can be scanned and uploaded Would it be worth certifying all of the p60's as it would look odd just doing a few? Would the reference be worth certifying despite being colour headed paper? I understand anything B/W will need certifying. Who can certify? Can a magistrate? Police? Or any solicitor. Thank you. Hoping to get this all uploaded and paid Thursday:wacko:
  7. I will follow this thread as we are in a similar position. Here is our story we have a positive skills assessment from Down Under centre giving him his certificate and this was based on 3 years paperwork. We only found out about the points advisory after expressing our interest ( we are claiming the full 8 years). We have payslips,. references and p60's that go back 12 years which are the same as the payslips and info originally sent to TRA. This shows a consistent employment history in the same role. We are now not going to get the points advisory as it is optional and is there to guarantee you get your deeming date (date you started in that role). If you have a varied employment history, different roles, different companies it would be better to get the points advisory. As I said I will follow this as we are doing it our way and have been told that we HAVE to get the TRA points on here but after speaking to agents and others it is an optional thing. We are risking it as we are confident that we have the info needed.
  8. Yes she will still be at college so if that still counts as dependent
  9. Thank you. I will look at retracting EOi although we have already had an invite I guess I have to let it expire? i am time contra intend against October to lodge as my daughter turns 18... Oh how frustrating
  10. Thank you. I think we will continue to get evidence, send off to TRA for the points and lodge as late as we can. If the CO then asks for proof we have our evidence and an assessment underway too. Do you think that makes sense my only other option is to get the agent involved which is fine but I've come so far I feel a failure/ idiot to ask now and I don't know what value it may add
  11. thank you he is just ordering copies of employment history from HMRC as we only had 3 years payslips etc for skills assessment and we are claiming for 8...i'm such an idiot.
  12. Hi everyone I am really confused now. we also have positive skill assessment and have just lodged EOI and found out about the TRA points. He is a cabinet maker and over 15 years experience in the same role - evidenced by payslips etc. Does he still have to put in for the TRA? I can't believe I have missed this if so. The reference we used was the one off his cabinet making certificate from ACTS. Will I have to withdraw or if he has all of his evidence of work would that be enough to upload?
  13. Thats fab news won't be long now. What is the points advisory and how do you get one? Hubby had his skills assessment but only got his certificate, should he also try and get his too do you think?
  14. HI we are going over on a 189 (hubby's application) and I need some advice in relation to my job. I am a family support worker for complex and high need families in the UK. I have 4 years experience in this role (some maternity) and previous to this I have 7 years experience of working with children with special needs in a school setting. I have no 'formal' qualifications in relation to these roles but a tremendous amount of training courses and experience. I have a NVQ in BSL which is similar to Auslan to a certain degree. My question is, if I was to seek a role such as family support worker in Australia, they ask for a tertiary qualification. Would my experience count towards anything and what would be the best way to show this when I apply for jobs when I get there. Or would I simply have to retrain and get a qualification Many thanks
