Hi thanks for replies.... We are looking at both areas Skani as my husband has a possibility of a job in either of those places. Im a bit anxious of costs...we are hoping the company will pay for the school fees. He is meeting with them tomorrow. We are also looking into how we could make up the extra 5 points Skippy79....x

I am looking for advice on cost of living for my family of 5. It will be myself, my husband, 10 year and 6 year old girls and 2 year old son. We will be coming over on a 457 visa as we are 5 points short of the skilled visa. My husband is a psychiatric nurse and we are looking at settling in and around Belmore or Belmont on the Central Coast. (all depending on costs). If you think there are better areas I would appreciate all suggestions My main worry is what income we need to have a comfortable life in Australia. I have researched renting costs and know that we will need to pay schooling for our girls while we are on the temporary visa...(hopefully not for too long though! I would really appreciate any advice on costs I need to factor in to get a realistic total. Thank you in advance.
