The 3 week course in north Sydney is $3500 and I think twice a year for the gap training.

We live in soldiers Point. Heaps of nice beaches here pretty quiet except in summer apparently heaps of people visit. We see dolphins and a koala in tree across the road from our apartment. Really nice place to live though been in this area 4 months now. I would recommend living in soldiers Point rather than Nelson Bay as tourists head to Nelson Bay. Good luck with the move .

We are moving to the central coast next week from Canberra and was wondering what the job situation is like . My partner has a permanent job at a hospital but I need a job . I am going through the process of getting my Aussie electrical liscence but I would do any labouring work or trade assistant. Also if anybody that lives in area would know of a good area to rent on coast nearer to Gosford. Cheers

Hi Guys I got through the stage 2 skills assessment by using skill shortage solutions to get my uk documents organised I would recommend using this company . I now have the stage 3 practical assessment booked in for 30 August in Sydney with future skills international . Would anyone know of how I can get the books to revise for the exam the book I need is electrical trade principles version 2 . The local library did not have it and looked on gumtree with no success ? I am based in cold Canberra ! Thanks

I am thinking of using an agent in Oz to prepare my documents for the asseser to get my uk qualifications recognised. He reckons I will need my work experience going back 6 years . I worked with heaps of agencies in uk and wouldn't remember all the dates and companies 6 years back . Would the agencies have dates and companies I worked for in there computers would anyone have had the same problem ?

Hi Simon ,we come to Oz on a sponsored visa and I was de facto but we now have permanent residency . No I have not gained my OTSR yet . Does future skills do the preparation courses then ? I would need to do that course . Thanks for for the advice . Pozza .

Hi guys I am a uk qualified electrician and living in Canberra . When we arrived in Oz 18 months ago I couldn't get any sparkie work as I have no Aussie licence . I am thinking of getting back in the trade . I have city and guilds parts 1 and 2 with a jib gold card but not many references as I worked through agencies in the uk . Could anyone recommend the easiest way to get assessed and the route to get the liscence as it seems complicated . Cheers pozza .
