I just realized you are MARA AGent !!! If am granted family sponsored visitor visa 600 and after that say couple of months my PR arrives, would it cancel my PR OR If I am granted PR and then visitor visa arrives, would it effect PR status?? Thanks again

Hi all, I applied for 189 visa back in April and since then it hasnt been finalized. Can I apply for visitor visa subclass 600 so that I can travel to australia to visit my brother. In the mean time I can wait for my PR application to be finalized. Is that something that can be done or it violates general rules of immigration?Please shed light on this matter.. Titan2

Hi guys, So finally I have secured 60 points to fill an EOI as an Electronics Engineer 233411 for 189 Category. I got 5 points from partner's skills after she got positive assessment as Telecommunications Engineer 263311. I am bit skeptical about invitations for electronics engineers as we have only about couple of months left for this year. My question is .. 1. Should I fill a separate EOI for my wife (263311) make her primary applicant and including myself as secondary applicant, even though I have already filled EOI where I am a primary applicant (233411) and she is secondary. My whole concern is that my occupation (Electronics Engineer 233411) might be subjected to pro-rata due to increased invitations already issued (720+/1000). While her occupation has merely seen 550/1000 invitees. Would it be OK to fill two EOIs ?? PLEASE guide me !! THANKS---

My points breakup Age-30 Education-15 IELTS-10 She has the same points breakup after she gets her skills assessed by EA. Can I fill an EOI for 60 points including 5 points for partner skills while in the meantime she gets her assessment done so I can be invited to apply for visa or I have to wait for assessment. Kindly clear my doubts regarding this!!

Thanks OZConnect for replying!! I clicked Other factors to see they asked Competent English and suitable skills assessment. My wife already took IELTS and scored 7 minimum in each band. Now she is writing a CDR. Can we both fill separate EOIs to see who gets invited first ?? AFterwards we can fill an application jointly. Thanks

Hello All! I stand at 55 points right now before I am eligible for 189 visa. My wife did bachelors in Telecommunications engineering and then went for masters program. She was teaching during her masters program and now has 4 years experience too. So basically she has undergraduate degree plus masters degree with 4 years teaching experience. How should I go about and claim 5 points for partner skills?? Please guide me on this so I can get her skills assessed. Would she be required to submit a CDR or is there any way around where she can get points for experience. Thanks and Regards Titan2

Hello, I filled out EOI claiming 65 points (55+10) but didnt get an invite in the last two months due to merely 5 invites for this category. Now I have 60 points and can go for 189 Independent visa. How do I make changes to EOI so that I can withdraw my 489 EOI and fill out 189? I dont really want to apply for 489 now? Do I need to suspend 489 or withdraw 489?? Any effects or considerations that I need to be wary of before doing so?? THanks...

Hello all. I am electrical engineer with positive assessment from EA and IELTS 7 bands. I have 55 points altogether whereas my spouse is Telecommunication engineer. Can I claim 5 points for partner skills after her CDR is approved??Both electrical and Telecommunications engineers are in SOL list though.Do I need to be wary of other requirements too? Thanks !!!

Hello, My spouse is is Telecom engineer with Masters degree and roughly 4 years teaching experience in Department of Computer technology teaching electronics and electrical engineering courses. How does she go about writing a CDR to claim 15 points for education and 5 points for work experience? Would EA(Engineers Australia) consider teaching experience to award 5 points? Thanks ---

Hello all! I am starting to fill EOI for 489 Family sponsored visa for QLD. Here are my details ANZSCO 233411 ELECTRONICS ENGINEER AGE : 30 OCCUPATION : 15 IELTS : 10 Family sponsor : 10 TOTAL POINTS : 65 Can anybody guide me what is the process to initiate an EOI for 489 FS. Do I need sponsor declaration filled before EOI or during visa application? Any predictions when can I expect an invitation ? I only see 10 invitees for the month of December, does it include Family sponsors too? Thanks !
