  1. Anyone here know when VEVO and the immi site updates after the ceremony? Mine was 6 days ago and it's still showing "received"... :-/ not finalised
  2. End of the road! I am finally a citizen George's River (Hurstville) had two ceremonies back-to-back last night, ceremonies that weren't even advertised on their website. :-o A lot of strength and patience to those still waiting!!
  3. They sent mine with 31 May for a 18 July ceremony so I'd say they give about 6 weeks notice.
  4. Hey, it's NSW Georges River. Been waiting since December, that's when I passed the test
  5. Update: I've been invited for my ceremony on the 18th of July. Which is a little odd, because the date isn't published on the website of my council. But oh well... finally the end is near!
  6. The system will tell you - it doesn't let you progress with the online application until the residence criteria is met. For me, it was the day of my PR, I didn't have to wait an extra day. By the time I filled it all out it did turn into an extra day before I submitted it though.
  7. Depends on how long she's been in Aus for. If she meets the residency requirements (4 years total out of which 1 PR) with gaps no more than 1y total and no more than 90 days in the past year, then she can apply.
  8. Good luck! I'm guessing you'll be in May or July. Fill out the sheet from my signature please if you haven't, that way we can all see how Hurstville/George's River is tracking.
  9. Really depends on where you are. On Friday I was told by immi directly that my council has a wait time of 10(!) months between approval and ceremony. I have to renew my passport from my original country of citizenship as well... Careful if your passport is expiring and you want to travel, many countries won't let you in with less than 6months on it.
  10. Don't give up hope! Yours is 3 months away, not 5 like mine was, but still, worth the effort.
  11. I am working for the same employer as well, but also my citizenship application has been approved, just awaiting ceremony so I don't think it really matters.
  12. How about a doctor, a dentist or a tax agent? They would all have records of meeting you personally. If not, I would find the person in the bank who opened my account (their name should be on it) and try to ask them directly.
  13. It's ONE year as PR out of 4 total. As far as I know this won't matter, because you were allowed to be out of the country that much, but the best thing you can do is to call them. The number ending in 881, the citizenship one - very different from the visa one. They answer and they are nice and knowledgeable.
