We intend to work once back in Europe. We are both educated to post degree level and the wife is tri-lingual. Pensions are not an issue as our investments will more than take care of us.

Sam, Sounds like you are best staying. Do not get me wrong - Australia is a wonderful place but it is not the UK. Australia is more like USA lite.

If your interest is horses you can try Camden or Malgoa. As for Penrith...it is nice to pass through! Being without a car will be problematic as public transport is not that great out west.

Here is our intro. I have lived here in Australia for 21 years and have only spent 10 days in the UK in that time - that was 5 years a go. My wife has been here in Oz since 2000 and is from mainland Europe. We wish to return to Europe. It is not a case of not loving Australia but more a case of our roots pulling us back.
