Hi all. So my employer had been employing me on the 457 visa but now iam on the 190 state sponsor visa... However the employer failed to meet a couple of obligations whilst i was on the 457, i was not a full time employee and on a casual role which i should be full time under the visa conditions and i wasn't paid any holiday pay or paid annual leave, again i should of been paid both. The problem i was faced with was the fact that the owner of this company is violent, aggressive and unpredictable bloke who likes to bully and stand over people and it was making it so difficult to approach him about this matter and i was very unsure on if to contact the dibp as there was a fear of the visa being cancelled. Now I am on the 190 visa and have no ties to this employer i feel that i should be raising this concern with immigration, not only for my self but for any future employees on a sponsor with this company who may find them selves in the position i was and not confident enough to notify the dibp. Has anyone else encountered problems such as these and if so what course of action did you take ? Thanks all

Hi all, Im in the process of the 190 visa application. Ive submitted all my info now my application is being assessed, the co has requested a form i dont have,its the evidence of Australian study.....The strange thing is, is the fact i'm not studying here so why are they asking for it ?? Anyone else had this ? Also, has any one recently obtained the 190 visa for Queensland ? If so what sort of wait did you have from the time your application was assessed to being granted the visa ? Hi all, Is any body on the 190 visa for qld ? Is it more or less the same as the 189 ? And finally on a 190 you dont have to work regionally ? On my eoi everything is filled in and waiting to be sent, scored 65 points as a skilled 1st class welder. Just wanting some of your own experiences with the 190 visa as me and my girlfriend are doing all of this on our own with no visa agent etc.. We fancy the state sponsorship as i have no intention leaving qld, absolutely love it here and now starting to put some roots down. Currently on the employer sponsored visa, but not happy in the job and the owner can be to be a bit of a bully at times, so really wanting to be on our own permanent visa so i can get a better job and better pay. We will also feel alot more confident buying a house on a permanent visa rather than the employer sponsored visa Thanks in advance if for any feed back :smile:

Hi all, just wanting to ask if any has recently gone through a 457 application ? My works nomination for me was approved on the 16th June and was wondering what sort of time scale im looking at for the decision on the application for me and my de facto partner. Cheers, Dan

ok, so this is the total fee for me and my partner, once we have paid we can submit the applications and get onto the bridging visa

To be honest the money isnt a problem, like i said in my original post i was just uner the impression the employer paid for the full process. if we have to pay then thats how it is. Thank you for your reply and shedding some light on to this for me.

Hi all, just in the process of submitting mine and my partners application for the 457 sponser visa, got all of my application filled in now at the end of it im been asked to pay $3,400 to complete my application. 1st off - I was under the impression that the employer took care of fees and we didnt pay a doller. 2nd - If we have to pay is this fee for my application and my partners de facto application HEEEEEEELLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPPP

Can any one please tell me how long roughly the Invitation to apply for the 189 visa takes after expressing the interest please and then how long did the visa take to come through ? Any Help would be appreciated. Cheers, Dan
