  1. Hi Miley, try these guys; http://australiatrade.com.au/Shipping/Price/Exports/index.htm they drop the container at your house, you pack it, they pick it up and deliver to your door. you wouldn't have a spare 5 cubic meters in the container would you?
  2. Guys, I have made enquiries and have been quoted around $5000 to fill a container and have it shipped to Southampton from Fremantle. Does this seem reasonable based on your experience? Then there are the delivery costs from Southampton to final destination. Also, I don't need a full container, I'm guessing I can get away with half a container but the costs seem similar but with a lot more hassle and risk to the goods. Has anyone gone down this path and if so, how much did you pay and was it worth it? Thanks
  3. Hi Guys, I found out today that I have been made redundant. This has come at a time when I had been seriously thinking of moving back to the uk. I have been in Oz for over 8 years and have loved it but miss family, met a girl over there and still think of it as home. However, the redundancy has made it a very rushed final decision, leaving me pretty stressed with all the things I have to do. House is going on the market this week. My main question is; (and I am sure it has been asked hundreds of times here), I need to ship my stuff back. I don't really have much, a bedroom suite, lounge suite, kitchen stuff, clothes, etc. Could anyone recommend a cheap way of getting it back? A half container maybe, or maybe just sell it all? Does anyone know how long it takes to get it back? I guess my second question is has anyone regretted moving back to the uk from a long stint in Oz and if so why? Like wise, who has never looked back? I must admit, i was there for xmas and loved it but that was for a holiday. The work situation there scares me a bit... Thanks guys
