Get on the electoral register asap when you return. We returned after 4 years here and when I tried to apply for a mortgage it took 3 attempts to secure one. Apparently being on the electoral register is one of the key requirements

We have just moved back to Sydney and we're asked to pay 2 months rent up front on top of a deposit as neither of us had jobs secured

My husband & I plus 2 boys aged 9 & 6 have just moved to St Ives in the upper north shore & wondered if there were any similar families in the area happy to meet up? We have lived in Sydney before but are experiencing it all over again and would be keen to share the experience!
