Hi Everyone I think it is time to share some good news. After 24 months and 11 days my mother is now an Australian Permanent Resident!!! Lodge data 30th April 2014, CO contact April 6th 2016 ( with a bit of a horror story that took more than 3 weeks to get sorted and was the reason for my disappearance from the forum) next contact to ask for medical and form 80 on May 2nd, 2VAC requested May 10th and Visa Grant May 11th! Can't explain how happy I am that the journey is finally over and wishing you guys all the best specially my fellow 2014ers, just hang it there it will happen really soon Cheers all and thanks for the support and this great forum that is helping us through the journey! Harvi, I hope you hear from them very soon. Could you please let me know what documents they asked for/you provided to prove your dependency ( asking as my under-25 yo brother will need the same documents provided) Cheers, Nassim

Hi Phil, Congrats on the progress! We are right behind you Just a question, (or two)! So your lodgment date is 23rd of April or the 30th? Also did they ask for documents at some point before Friday and then asked for the 2VAC on Friday, or am I missing something? Cheers, Nassim

I believe the strikes only involve airport workers and the visa processing centers should not be affected by this. Cheers, Nassim

Hi Linda, Got my reply for my other question so please ignore it Another one though .. I though you have to validate your visa at the earliest of you Medical or Police Check expiry. Where do you think they got October 2016? Is that a significant date? Cheers, Nassim

Actually says under that line that if you lodged "on" or after this date your case is not being assessed yet. So Linda should be contacted with the next batch Cheers, Nassim

Another option would be scanning as single images (not pdf files) and then in your computer create a word document, copy each image and paste them all in the word document and then save that word document as PDF.
