Hi Lorraine A registered nurse is the equivalent of a band 5 post (ie newly qualified and up) clinical nurse is a more experienced post, but as you say you may find that your experience gets you a clinical nurse role. If you don't have proof of how many years experience you have and get a job as a registered nurse you will be paid at the 1st level, so if you haven't done so already get present and past employers to give you a letter saying how long you worked there and what ours you worked. I got caught out with this one but got it sorted quickly and easily. Re- applying for jobs, if you have a speciality I would check on quensland health web site and try to find a contact for this area and if you are coming out quite soon then e-mail them for advice and send your cv. This is what I did and got offered a job in my speciality without any problem. Hope this helps.
Elena
