jvm is on a distinguished road
Hi
Just wondering if anyone can help. OH on Plumbing practical in July and after reading the plumber fact sheet from Vetassess he was wondering has anyone else done welding since college or does any plumber do welding anymore?
Any help would be appreciated as from what we can see it seems to be part of the practical assessment!
Val

Hi
Can't help with the vetassess stuff but all I can say is that plumbers do lots of welding here in Oz so would appear that's why Vetassess include it.

Hi Lyn,
How are you doing? Its cheryl here previously from Furneux Pelham, been here in Perth now 8 months, its been interesting reading these posts about plumbers, my husband completed the one day practical assessment, and the week long migration course January, since then he has to do another three weeks at tafe for his gas ticket, and if he wants to run his own business needs to obtain a contractor's licence, which is a 10 week course at a cost of $7,000, think you can do this 2 evenings a week with every other saturday for god knows how long.

The plumbing is different and more physical, but you soon get used to it. Its alot of expense to get set up but well worth it for the life style that comes with it. The money plumbers earn seems to me to be quite high compared with many other jobs.

How are you finding life in the gold coast

Love cherylx
