Question Vetassess(bricklayer)

Hello Again, got another question!!!??

I am in the process of beginning the Vetassess process, or rather my husband is. He is a bricklayer and we are hoping to apply for a 175 Visa. Am I right in thinking we need to do the Vetassess first and once all the stages are passed(the practical being the last one), we can apply for the visa?

If Darren is sucessful in the three vetassess stages does this mean he is entitled to work immediately on arriving in Australia or are there further steps required once there?
Are we completing form CA1 from the vetassess website? Also it asks for australian drivers licence or relevent passport pages as a required document I take it in our case this is a passport page with photo etc?
Please advise, thanks again

Amanda

Yep, that's right

If Darren is sucessful in the three vetassess stages does this mean he is entitled to work immediately on arriving in Australia or are there further steps required once there? with 175 visa I believe you are classed as a 'permanent resident' - you should be able to work as soon as you get your tax file number.

Can't answer that one...our agent sorted that for us.

Amanda
Am I right in guessing you are not using an agent? Just a word of warning re. your VETASSESS, I believe if you send your 'bumph' off to them and there are bits missing or things not right, then they can dismiss your application. and you have to re-apply.

I may be wrong (I'm sure someone will correct me if I am) - this is what we were told.

Hope this helps

Jenny

HI Jenny, Thanks for this, I am going to use Visa Bureau as its just too much to take in and like you say if you get it wrong its just a nightmare.
Thanks

Amanda
