hi i'm a scrub nurse moving to brisbane this year. look on queensland healthcare webites and they have maps and info. i ve contacted loads of the hospitals and agencies. got some numbers if ya like but you'll find em through that site. they seem keen. some offering phone interviews but i wanna go and chill first, and get best job on offer and location etc. ideally no weekends - day care unit or something. when do you wanna go? let me know how you get on hon xx

hi
im a theatre nurse from manchester and i do anaesthetics and recovery, ive had 2 job offers in private hospitals in brisbane cbd through agencies. they are really helpful with everything especially oxley nursing who are based in brisbane and know all the hospitals and areas. im not sure which job to take yet but must decide in the next week, pay and benefits are all the same depending on years of service.
ive been looking at trying to live as near to the city as possible but for a 3/4 bedroomed house it is ver very expensive not matter which direction you go! smaller apartments or shared housing seems reasonable but it depends where abouts in the city you go. contact oxley nursing they will be able to help you further- ohcr.com.au . good luck
kate
