ANMC Advice Please!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have downloaded the application forms for ANMC skills assessment and Licence to practice.................But my mind is blown!!!!

1) Can I register with a Nursing Board before a skills assessment?
2) If I am registered with the nursing board does that mean I only need to do a modified skills assessment?
3) Once skilled assessed, is that it? No time limit?????

My hubby has put all these questions in my head....I was just going to go ahead with the full skills assessment! I just want to get SOMETHING started!!!!!

Thanks in advance to ANYONE who can help!

xx Melody xx

Hi Melody
To answer your questions:
1 - Yes - you can register with a nursing board first, can work out cheaper doing it this way round!
2 - Yes - and the modified is quicker, but you have to wait for your state reg to come through before you apply for the modified skills assessment, so will take a bit longer to get your skills assessment back (ie your letter of determination) in the long run
3 - not entirely sure of the time limit of the letter of determination, might be 12 months?? Maybe someone will know the answer to that one. I send my visa application off the same day that I got my letter of determination, so it never crossed my mind!
Hope this helps a bit!
