Hello guys
my husband is a fuel tanker driver and understand that there are major discussions going on with the unions in OZ. To cut a long story short we heard about a guy called Darrell Todd who is the MD for a company called Thinking Australia (
Work in Australia, migrate to Australia) anyway he has been working on a project for 2 years and has successfully got truckers into WA (Perth). Basically you go over to OZ, resit your driving tests, he has sponsors already, so get sponsor come home and wait 14 weeks. Once the visa is granted you are free to go to OZ. Apparently it is quite complicated but that is basically how it works. I have spoken to Darrell coz he based in the UK and he always available for a chat. We are going to one of Darrells expos in Manchester next week so we will hopefully be able to ask him a lot more questions. I have also heard of Gollywobbler mentioning a guy called Phil Olsen (I think) she is a mine of information and will probably pick up this thread anyway as I know she reads this forum but if not PM her as Im sure she might be able to offer some advice. There is also a mining contract going on at the minute and I beleive they might need truckers. Hope this helps and PM me if I can help!!!
good luck
