Hi all... its me again !!
Heres a link I found usefull, both for a job searching and also has tips on putting together an Ozzie CV, which they call a Resume out here.
Jobs, Careers & Employment @ MyCareer
Other job search website are:
SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site and
Job Search - Australian jobs - Job listing - Find a job - CareerOne
The other thing that confused us

was that Plumber over here come under different headings and call themselves different things. You can be qualified in only one thing or all of them.
Its deceiving coz all these Plumbers jobs are advertised but then you find out they really want Roofers......... let me see if I can explain!!!!
A roofing plumber - They just specialise in gutting, downpipes and all aspects of roofing including slates roofs and colourbond roofing (like tin/sheet metal) and fitting water tanks.
Sanitary plumber - They specialise in fitting bathrooms, toilets etc., either in domestic or commercial properties.
Drainage - just specialise in all aspects of drain work.
Gas - There is a basic gas qualification over here (like Corgi I suppose), then a more advanced one if you want to get invioled in the more commercial/industrial gas work.
Mechanical Servcies - Now, my husband specialised in this in the UK and meant working on large industrial and commercial plumbing on a huge scale, but over here in Oz it basically means Air conditioning, so make sure you ask loads of questions before you go for an interview as it turns out it means quite different things over here.
Central heating - They do have it here, but they dont knoe much about it. Its becoming more popular in Melbourne coz of the seasonal weather here, its mainly English plumbers setting up their own firms and its called hydronic heating over her.
Hope that helps as it just done our heads in when we first arrived.
There is some good news..... Hang on in there, its worth it in the end. Once your qualified in the Ozzie ways you will get much better pay and have no shortage of work, its just a struggle at first. My hubby has landed a job in the city now working on all the large commercial sites, so he's well chuffed. Better pay, better conditions, quite a few extras and a Rostered day off every other Monday!!!!!

Good luck
Sally-ann x
