I think that at this stage you should do two things,
First, I think you should study the DIAC website carefully:
Department of Immigration and Citizenship
Secondly, there are lots of firms who offer visa advice. I would suggest that you start by contacting these two:
Go Matilda - Your Gateway to Australia - Visa, Tax, and Financial Planning for Australia
Registered Australian Migration Agents, UK - Ian Harrop and Associates
Neither would charge you for 10-15 minutes on the phone and neither firm is remotely spivvy in any way. (There are one or two prize shockers in this business but the firms above are not two of the sinners.)
