Plastic Fabricator/Sheet Metal Worker

Hi All

My husband is a sheet metal worker by trade but has been doing plastic fabrication for the last few years.

We are hoping to move to Victoria in the next few months we have our visa but are just waiting to sell our house.

Is anyone in this line of work, will he find it easy to find work?

I am doing all the panicing and hubby seems to be burying his head in the sand, I think he thinks a job will just drop into his lap!!

We are looking at moving to Geelong area.

Any advice would be appreciated.

if he is a good sheet metal worker then it would be no problem in getting a job i have been advertising for the past three months to fill a position, good tradesmen are hard to find !
pity you was not comming to the central coast ...............

you will find that rates of pay will differ from rural area to city's etc so i wouldn't like to put a figure on it but broadly for the sheet metal workers that i manage they are on about $ 26 an hour ........... pm me if you need any more info

sorry for the late reply i no the frustration that waiting game for the emigration process can be ! im a production manager at a place on the central coast in gosford and at the present we as a company will not do sponsorship but if im able to help in any way then please feel free to ask regards graham
