teacher training ...?!help please!!!

Hi all! was just wondering whhat is best to do...

i have an upper second (2:1) in english literature and am thinking of being a primary teacher....is it better to do a PGCE here in UK and then go out to OZ or would it be better to emigrate out to Oz and then do teacher training?

i'm not sure whether i would have to do some re-training in australia you see...in order for qualification to be recognised?

does anyone have any ideas?

i have duel nationality (british/Oz)

many thanks!!!

As you are a dual citizen then it really doesnt matter which you choose. It would only be an issue really if you had to come here on a student visa (with international student fees!) or even as a permanent resident (up front payment and no financial assistance via HECS deferrment).

Australian registration always requires the fourth year and they will accept UK qualifications as long as you have transcripts of the course you undertook. I would think that if you are settled and supported where you are then do it in UK - it will cost you HECS in the long run here anyway.
