I've been reading a few posts and see messages from a few people who are struggling to get jobs such as admin/retail etc. Are there lots of jobs around in Perth or is it a long process like here, ie. phone about them, get application form, maybe get interview. I work as a PA to a Chief Executive in Local Gov but would need to work once in oz too if we want to buy a house that is. Would I have to take a step down to build up my knowledge/oz experience?
Nope plenty of job's in admin & retail here in my opinion I have had both in the last 3 months. I supppose it depends what area tho as Perth is a big place.
Janette, thanks for that. The posts I'd been were relating to Sunshine Coast/Brisbane. Think we'll be close to CBD areas. How do you find it getting used to dialling codes/way of doing things. What do people wear in the office, is it formal?
Very much the same as back home as in dress code for the office & dialling codes well you get used to them. Depends what office job you get lol my last one only casual mind was t-shirt & shorts as worked in a kennels. But much more relaxed. I really dont think ypu will have a problem getting either job in Perth or surrounding areas .
