Hi
Im moving to brisbane in 10 weeks to work at PAH as an adult nurse. We applied for visa in nov and got them through last week. I would advise just doing the process yourselves as I have found it easy enough (if I can anyone can). QNC reg is not to bad either, I just got everything certified by a solicitor.
Hi
My wife has been accepted for a post at PAH in Brisbane but it looks like they are doing all of the visa application or have we got it wrong?? Why did you do it yourself?
They have given her a projected starting date of early October, that's from the begining of this month(April) Are they being optomistic? Any help or hints would be gratefully accepted.
Hi all, we're Mike and Kat and have just started on the process of applying for visas and all thats needed for our new life - after 3 years of planning and plucking up the courage.
Mike is RMN/ RNLD and qualified 8 years ago - I am an RN and qualified 18 years ago - critical and acute care.
We hope to move to Brisbane - and Mike has been offered sponsorship in Mental Health in The Royal Brisbane.
Our house in Uk is sold and we're currently renting. So it's full steam ahead.
Will be regulars on Poms in Oz with all our questions.

I dont know if anyone can advise, but its worth a try.
Im still a nurse in training, in my final year (on the Bsc Mental Health).
I have just returned from Perth for the third time and have made the decision that its definitly for myself and my family.
Whilst in Perth I went for an 'informal' chat at a hospital and ended up being offered a job for when I qualify and sponsorship if I want it.
So, please... my question is, has anyone else been able to obtain a visa as soon as they qualify and if so, what was the process and length of time?
We have the majority of our family in Perth and are really excited at the prospect.
Many thanks
Caroline
hi caroline
i think you would go on a 457 with sponsorship from your employer (well done!)
then when you have 12 months experience they or you could then apply for PR.

hi folks!!!
well, trying to get things sorted for my move to melbourne but wonder if anyone could clarify / reassure me!!
have been talking to a recruitment advisor & she assures me i only have to register with the victoria nursing board, not the anmc.... i`m going for sponsorship... does anyone know if this is correct??
i don`t normally question everything i`m told... i just don`t want to do anything to hold my application up!!!
any advice welcomed!!!!

I have an interview coming up with an australian nursing employer, and i was wondering if anyone could help me out with any potential questions they may ask, and what i need to read up on. I expect they would be very different to uk interviews, but it would just be nice to maybe know a little of what to expect!!
