      Hi everyone!
I am actually in Oz - just arrived a few days ago! I have arrived on partners sponsored visa. I was wondering has any1 registered with AHPRA after arriving in Australia?? I am in the process of doing that just now and was wondering if you can take original documents into AHPRA office for certification?? If not - any1 any suggestions where i should go to have this done?? Verification and uni transcripts are being sent direct from UK. Any help/advise greatly appreciated! :)
      Thanks

      Hi Terri,

I'm currently living in Perth wanting to relocate to Melbourne within the next year or so.

I earn $76,760 ($4000 per month in my hand) on a top level 2 as a Child Health Nurse and I do extra babysitting on top of my main job and just about break even even though I'm careful with money. Perth is very expensive to live not sure about Melbourne which I think it is a bit cheaper and has good public transsport.

I think you will struggle on one wage and I think you will need to work part time at least to afford a few luxuries like holidays, meals out etc. If you are super efficient with your money and really strict you could do it but only just and money would be tight.

      Hope this helps?

      Debs x

      Hi Angie

I have just arrived in Perth (mid Aug) on my husbands skilled visa. Not sure where in Aussie you are but we are in Perth. I took my original docs to the Friendlys chemist Nr the AHPRA offices in Subiaco. They charge approx $1 per copy and it is recognised by AHPRA too as they directed me here.

      Hope this helps x

Due to leave in 11 Days...

      Hey,

Im due to leave the UK in 11 days and am heading to Perth. Currently waiting for AHPRA to process my application for registration.

Im aware I will need a police check / working with children check. How do I go about this? Do I need to contact my local police force or would my works CRB check be ok to use?

Any info would be greatly appriciated!! :-)

      Thanks,
      Carly
