hi there, got our visa yesterday without even hearing off case officer so i'm well on cloud nine. didn't use an agent, and have just emailed or phoned up loads of hospitals or agencies to put feelers out. all are very interested - offering phone interviews etc, but want to look round first so not arranging job from this end. want to get there, enjoy the sun, see where we wanna live, how far i'd have to travel etc. and try to negotiate the best pay and hours (no weekends! )

ask away if ya wanna know anything else. we're looking at moving to redcliffe area.

Hi
Im moving to brisbane in 10 weeks to work at PAH as an adult nurse. We applied for visa in nov and got them through last week. I would advise just doing the process yourselves as I have found it easy enough (if I can anyone can). QNC reg is not to bad either, I just got everything certified by a solicitor.

Question Student nurse in UK needs help

Hi,
please could someone give me some advice?

I am currently in my second year of nurse training in the UK. I would like to emigrate to Australia when i qualify.

Do you know if they accept newly qualified nurses? I have experience as a health care assistant whilst undertaking my training.
Also once qualified i will have an advanced diploma in adult nursing, is this acceptable or does it have to be a degree?

Finally does anyone have any ideas which visa i would have to apply for? Would i have to wait to be qualified before i can apply?
Sorry for all the questions!!

Any advice would be great xx

Hi the hospital that i work at in Perth take newly qualified nurses from the uk. They take you on an 18 month rotational post, 6 months in a different speciality at a time. If you want details on who to contact feel free to pm me.

Hi Leanne
I think they like you to have 2 years experience but I would still apply earlier because the process takes so long you would probably be qualified 2 years by the time your application was accepted. It doesn't matter if you have a degree or not. Good luck

Hi

Is anyone an IVF or gynaecology nurse? Any ideas about these jobs in Adelaide or Sunshine Coast?
