Can anyone tell me what the employment prospects are like for an experienced NAUI Instructor Trainer in Brisbane / Townsville / Cairns etc. I have been an active status NAUI Instructor since Feb 1995 and have run dive charters as a Divemaster since July 1993.
I have worked and dived extensively in South Africa and Mozambique teaching and running shark dives, extensively in the Egyptian Red Sea, Jordan, Maldives, England, and Scotland. I have qualified in the region of 500 students at all levels and staffed 7 Instructor Training Courses. I have particular industry strengths in teaching diving physiology, decompression theory, and leadership development.
I am also qualified as:
an ASHI First Aid Instructor,
IANTD basic and advanced Nitrox Instructor,
HSE Commercial Offshore Diver Medic,
IMCA Saturation Life Support Technician,
SAUU recompression chamber operator,
Red Cross Paramedic Level 4 (advanced trauma life support),
retired South African Special Forces member (Special Forces School)
in qld your first aid stuff means nothing so you will have to do a first aid course again thet is recognised in qld you also have to do a o2 course regardless and you need to have a medical and the relevant insurance a well and that is qld law the best advice is to go to cairns and teach there because diving in brisbane is dying out at the mo
