Hello chippy and welcome to this site. I too do wood and i hear there is a lot of jobs in Oz so we shouldn't have a problem finding one. We are also going to Melbourne, Mornington area. Its very nice there as we went there in Dec 2006. I dont know the going rate for chippies but i here that the best payed jobs are in roofs and stairs.
