No worries

Hi there, we are moving to Brisbane also, our 17 year old daughter (18 in August) said exactly the same thing, she opened up a thread on here under "younger ones" and has been talking to others her age already there and others planning the moving shortly.
So now she has a ready made friend base before she lands....it's worth a go, just make sure that you monitor who she is talking to though and make sure you talk about her new friends together, you have to remember she'll feel like it's taken her 16 years to make the friends she has, but there is always the internet to still maintain those friends already made. Also try to attend a meeting near to you of others planning the move, she'll meet loads of other teenagers there.
Finally, good luck with the job front (not that you'll need it) only a small amount of jobs are advertised on these sites as advised to us by our friends already in Brisbane, most companies have signs outside advertising vacancies out there but not via any newspaper or agency as it all costs money,
regards, Natalie.
