Hi everyone,
Could any body tell me if they have heard anything about skilled visa and if they are replacing pathway D with something,thought they where giving us an idea this month.
Also has any one been sponserd as a painter and decorator in Oz.If so how did you go about it, and how hard did you find it.
Another question!!!!!!!! Sorry I have a Diploma in retail management,I gained this qualification 23 years ago.Worked in retail for a while,then changed jobs.Does anybody know if this would help in any way.
Just trying so hard to get a way to get out there.My son has been out there since Sept 07 and it is not getting any easier.
People come on this sight who are in OZ and say how home sick there are,but it is also the same this end.It broke my heart when my son went,For god sake I was sorting some of his stuff out the other day,and started crying.I miss him so much and I know why he has gone ,but the hurt is just as bad for the ones that are left behind.

Hi, my OH is a decorator, he teaches it in UK. luckily we sent skill assessment before the closure of pathway D.
There is the job sponsor way. I think it is the 457 visa? Have you been to an expo? Sometimes there are job adverts. Painting and decorating is in demand so im told.

Hi Gwen

OH is Painter, we have sponsorship from W.A government as Painters are on the in demand list. Was quite simple to get initially but may be a problem now!! Read other thread!
Visa type is 137.
