IT qualifications/Training
Hi

Does anyone know if you have to retrain your IT skills and resit your exams once in Aus? or will my qualifications count? Has anyone experienced this?

My OH works in IT and as far as I know once you have had your skills assessed by the ACS you are good to go.

To a certain degree yes, but you will find a definite leaning towards Cisco equipment so you should have a CCNA/CCNP. My partner has had difficulties because it seems as though a very broad skill set is expected here. Many ads want CCNA and MCSE as well as some sort of security and firewall certification/experience thrown in.
