Hi there.
i was reading what you've written. My hubby works on the roads changing water mains, electric and gas pipes, he also has most of his machine tickets. can you give me a rough estimate of wages over there. Were coming to Perth for another holiday for 8wk to see if we dfinately want to live there. Just a bit worried about the cost of living and wages

Any help appreciated

Elaine

Accountants

I can reply in so much as the bit about ACCA accountants as that is what my husband is. I've found that he needs to do some more training once there for tax and company law. This will not stop him getting a job though. Your wife could try looking at www.thinkglobalrecruitment.co.uk where someone could get her a job before she leaves, may even get you somewhere to stay for a couple of weeks also. Our contact at Think Global is Mark Russell and he has been very good with information on Brisbane etc. He has said hubby would earn $65k to start (husband has been qualified for 1 year but has 3 years experience before qualifying) and this will obviously increase with experience etc. You could also look at seek.com.au for accounting jobs. Hope this helps.

Sam

I am especially interested as to how hard/easy it will be for me to get a job in construction. I have my Blue Card already but no other Australian qualifications.

Will my wife be able to get a job easily in accounting with her UK ACCA qualification? As she appreciates that some Australian accounting standards differ from the UK.

Thanks.

what are the wages like for a 360 driver

hi steve @ charlie
workin localy u can earn between 20 / 30 /dollars per hour / some companies pay a lower rate ie 20 aud plus penaltys ei time and half double time / some pay a flat rate usually higher ,
if you go in to mining top wages are 120.000 per yr most 2 weeks on 1 week off fly in fly out all expances paid
if you look on Job Search - Australian jobs - Job listing - Find a job - CareerOne or SEEK - Australia's no. 1 jobs, employment, career and recruitment site or Australia InfoMine - Mining Intelligence & Technology
you will find jobs and salarys
also on careerone click on employment news then salary survey then mining .
hope this helps cheers keily ..

I am an Aussie living in Brisbane. My English boyfriend is CIMA qualified accountant and looking for sponsored employment in Brisbane. Any advice you can give me on good agencies, visa waits etc. would be greatly appreciated.
