Roofer ! Needs Advise.

Hello All

Happy New Year!
My wife i and our 2 children have started the 175 visa process. I have read on various sites that my job is in demand but cannot find many jobs advertised on the various recommend sites. We wish to move to Perth hopefully it will be this year!

Does anyone know if i will find it as easy as they say to find work. I do single ply flat roofing, slating and tiling with city and guilds qualifications.

hello there, i know you said perth but i have a friend who lives in mooloolaba, sunshine coast, qld, and he has his own roofing business. he says he could work 7 days of the week if he really wanted to. i dare say it will be the same in perth as there is plenty construction going on over there judjing by b bravehearts posts. perhaps he'll see this post and let you know better. by the way it seems that jobs in construction are more turn up at the site and ask rather as on some of the websites available. good luck with everything. cheers

dont know much about roofing but do know theres plenty of work in perth and they all need roofs i would e mail a few roofing co;s in the master builders site and if no luck wait till u get here and just go onto sites as thats where most work is picked up

I have just been reading all posts relating to 'roofing work' as my husband is a roofer & we are hoping to move to the Sunshine Coast area. I came across your post & it was very encouraging to read that your friend is very busy. Is he an Austarlian, or from the Uk? Im just very interested to know how he finds working on roofs in the hot weather, as alot of people keep saying to my husband 'its gonna be too hot to work' etc etc!
