Wink Sorry Guys Another Nursing One! Family Friendly

Just wishing to know do Australia have any family friendly policies like we have here?

I am a single parent with a preschooler, and hope to move to the Sunshine Coast. Hoping to be able to mange a permanent job without too much agency.

Thanks in anticipation

Hi,

I know the service I work in (WA) has family friendly initiatives - as long as it suits the service then it seems o.k.

hi there, think you will find most of the hospitals have flexible ways of working, especially as there is such a shortage of nurses, i worked within the accident and emergency department in brisbane and they were great. It might be a little difficult for a while on your own but there are jobs within the community during school hours so when your little one is old enough this type of nursing role may suit you both, good luck im sure yopu will be fine
