My son Scotty sold them a house ........... then Steve got a job in his trade as roof tiler.......... but sod that for a game of soldiers...........it's too bloody hot working on roofs down-under.
Steve and Jenny settled into their new house okay............ got their son enrolled in St Stephen's school at Carramar............ and then sought an alternative option to having Steve humping red hot tiles up and down a ladder in blistering heat............. and having his skin turn golden bronze.
Their solution...............easily solved............they bought a petshop ............and Steve without any prior experience has been running same on his Todd for the last 3 years.
For anyone scared of making the transition down-under........ scared of arriving in a new country which let's face it........... is way out the back of beyond? Don't despair............ if you are prepared to give it a go ................ there are opportunities galore down-under if you have the right attitude.
Steve and Jen have done well in their 3 short years here in Perth.......... and accordingly are now moving up the ladder. They have purchased a 5 acre bush block north of the river.................. and they are going to be flat out building their dream home which once finished will incorporate their new business venture.
