My wife and I are still looking for company sponsorship to enable us to make the dream move to OZ, I have family in Sydney so that would be our preferred destination although we would look at anywhere as long as it is in Oz!!
I am an experienced team leader of 4 years with one of Europes largest energy companies and my wife is a experienced PA with a world wide company, we don't quite qualify for enough points to enable us to get a permanent visa (no degree) so company sponsorship is our preferred option rather than retrain!!
Is there anyone on here who is looking for either a experienced PA or Team Leader in Oz? or does anyone know of any companies looking for either of these fields of expertise willing to sponsor??
Do the companies you're working for now have contacts that you can approach in Aus? Patsmec secured sponsorhip - he actually came over on a 3 week rekki and approaced companies directly (not the same occupation as yourself) but that may be an option. Also, your family in Sydney could perhaps find you similar companies that you both work for and you could approach them directly. The yellow pages is on line too - you may be able to find companies to approach.

what about family sponsership? some one I know has just gone over with family sponsership, it costs a bit more I think but it was the best way for them to go

Hi all, thanks for your help, I have spoken to quite afew migration agents who stated that my family couldnot sponsor us because they are in Sydney, don't know if this is correct?? just persume with being told it from several sources. I have tried seek sent my CV and wife's CV to loads of companies, some have offered me a position providing I can get a visa they will not sponsor which leaves me at square one!!!
It's so frustrating!! been trying for over 12 months now to find a company that will sponsor, my wive's company has got offices in Australia and we have asked about a transfer with sponsorship but no joy there of yet!!
My family love it over there the way of life, we were over in April for 4 weeks and loved it thats why were so desperate to go especially with the dark winter fast approaching!!
If anyone has anymore ideas please contact me, I will keep pestering companies from Seek etc and fingers crossed that one day the dream will happen
I think the family sponsor has to be out of certain areas which are already populated to sponsor you. that it probably the reason. What about your family who are there, are any of them in the position to ask their employers etc if a position maybe available, suitable etc?
We were lucky as the only way in for us was via OH Uncles company, he sponsored OH in to work for him.

It's my aunt, uncle and 2 cousins out there, my cousin has just been over for a week and he says that himself and his dad are looking at setting up there own business and would look into sponsoring me that way.
Did you find it easy enough to get sponsored by your hubby's uncle??and have you now got permanent visa? as I believe if you have been sponsored you can apply for perm visa after 2 years??

It was easy to get the sponsorship as we just applied like they were any other company sponsoring jo bloggs if you get me. It didnt matter that he was his uncle as the company sponsorship process had nothing to do this their relationship. The only reason we did it that way was because M couldnt have any skills assessment as he was a Team Leader with a Travel Firm so like you would be unable to find a company to sponsor him having no "skills".
We only arrived in August so we will apply for ENS in two years, unless you can have a skills assessment you have to wait 2 years. It is also worth mentioning that the company must have minimum 10 staff to sponsor, as the company have to apply to be a sponsor first and be passed by the dept of immigation.
