Property Management - Queensland

I am currently a property manager in the UK and I'm wanting to find out about what other training or qualifications I will need in order to be registered in Queensland to work in the real estate industry.

Can anyone offer any assistance?

Thanks

You would certainly think that from many of the posts on here

To put a bit of balance on that subject - the great vast majority of jobs or professions don't require a licence. The construction industry requires a few jobs to be licenced (to weed out the cowboys presumably?) but after that its similar to UK.

The problem is these licenced professions use the licence system as a job protection scheme to keep supply well below demand and so drive up earnings artificially high.

You are right about the protection tho...Also the wages you can command with a licence do seem to be a lot higher

Yep! if someone offered me a plumbers apprenticeship I'd be very tempted to snap it up.

It would be the 'kiss of death' though. I've done two already, one's disappeared completely and the other is dying on its knees
