Hi everyone, just wondered if anyone could let us know the website you can go on to see if your trade needs to be recognised in order to work in Oz. OH is a plasterer. Also, know that you can sit your Blue card whilst in UK but do you need it sent to an Oz address or will they send it to UK?? Grateful for any info. Cheers Nat

the site your lookin for is Department of Immigration and Citizenship
plasterer is on both the sol list and the modl list
the blue card is a health and saftey card used in construction /driving and mining etc .you can get 1 online at Blue Dog Training & Behavior Madison, Wisconsin
dont know if they send it to you in the uk but i guess it will tell you on the site .

Hi, just wondering how you were getting on with your trades recognition application. My hubby is also plasterer and is needing some persuading to submit application (he's terrified we'll be left destitute if he leaves his cosy set-up in the UK!!). Just wondered if you had any advice/tips in any aspect of your search that could help settle his fears!! We also have 3 children to consider (11,5 and 1).
