Electricians please!
A company based on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland has contacted us in need of help as he is stuggling to recruit staff from the local work force.
He needs an electrician, yesterday!! Sponsorship is an option for the right candidate.
For more details please contact me directly at khotson@ozgo.com.au please include a CV and an overview of your situation.
N.B. We can help with all aspects of employment - if you need a sponsor in order to get to Australia, or are looking to secure work before leaving the UK once your permanent residency has been granted. If you would like information please drop me an email to the above address.

Hi, I have e-mailed you my cv.

hi
my partner and i have been looking at emigrating to perth. hes an electrician (i suppose it would come under general electrician on skilled visa list). Hes been working as electrician for last 4 years while studying one day a week to be qualified. this has all just come through but hes going back in january to do a 10 week course which means that he can test and inspect. (In uk now if any electrical work has been done it has to be signed off.)
What my question is is that we have been told that 4 years isnt enough - even though qualified to newest standards? In your field roughly how much experience do employers expect. and would a sponsor route maybe be the route for us to move out there?

As far as I know the TRA like around 7 years including training - however the goalposts are being moved as from 1st September so this may change.
Info is going to be a bit sketchy till people start doing the new scheme so keep looking here as it won't be long before it appears in a few posts.

Confusing!!
Hello all
My first visit to POI so a bit nervous (eeekk)
My OH is part qualified electrician (city and guilds part 1) but has over 15 years experience
We have passed assessment on his skills and experience but I dont know if he has enough qualifications when we get there, he is OK about being electricians mate when we arrive to see how things work out
We are looking to move to Gold Coast area so any help on how much he could earn and the chances of him getting work would be good but in general any advice welcome
