How long is a blue card valid?

A blue card is valid for two years from the date it is issued, unless it is cancelled or suspended earlier by the Commissioner.
The Commissioner must suspend a blue card if the person is charged with an excluding offence, pending the charge being dealt with. If the person is convicted of an excluding offence, their blue card must be cancelled by the Commissioner if they were sentenced to imprisonment for the offence, or the judge made a disqualification order preventing them from holding a blue card. If the charge did not result in imprisonment or a disqualification order, then the application is assessed normally, and a negative notice will be issued unless the cardholder can satisfy the Commissioner that it would not harm the best interests of children to issue a blue card. :)Since found out this is the BLUE CARD for health care
a bit like a criminal clearance card for australia not construction

Depends which 'blue card' you're referring to?

As Silverstargazer has already said, WWW.bluedogtraining.com.au is for the construction industry but when this thing about blue dog come up before i said it's so easy to get one of my twins (10 yrs old) would pass it 90% is common sense the other 10% is a little harder as some questions are OZ Con, Ind, Rules so therefore you aint gonna know them unless you've swallowed the book........... Ah but here comes the best bit, if you get it wrong you just keep on answering questions until you pass...... DOH.......

Easy innit, wot you mean you've not tried it yet, why not, C'mon give's you an insight in what to look forward to an why they want the skilled hard working English out there, oh once you've done it please come back an share your laugh's.....

Mr KP Nut.

Hi not been on here for a while.Always a lot of interesting threads on here .

Not due out in oz for a while yet . Going to melbourne area in 18 mths or so.
just been reading about what is required in the building industry as im a chippy.

q/land require a blue card . It appears that victoria requires a red card. Is this right.?
Also i read that a blue card is excepted in victoria.
My question is : if the blue card is excepted in victoria. why would anyone bother getting a red card as it takes a 5 day course to get it and $90.
Where a blue card takes a 2hr online course and $65.

Just wondering. THANKS
(and keep up the good posts everyone)
