Can't speak for bricklayers but with the amount of houses I see being built they must be in demand. Hubby and I both sorted out jobs prior to leaving UK by searching on internet companies and emailing them our CV's with expression of interest to work for their company. Had telephone interview and for hubby this was followed up by a face to face chat when we got here. It's hard to recommend a suburb because it depends on what you're looking for, where you may be working and how far you want to travel etc.,
